FJALLGARÐURINN - TALES FROM THE MOUNTAIN GARDEN
Antje Taiga Jandrig and the Living Art Museum extend a special invitation to an evening beyond the ordinary.
Step into a world where the Mountain Garden's whispers create a sensory symphony, unveiling tales and evoking senses.
Join us for a Julefrokost, a celebration of flavours and narratives, on December 15th starting at 7 p.m. Sixteen seats are available at Nýló, promising an immersive experience of culinary and artistic expressions.
Crisp mountain air, crushed arctic thyme underfoot, the texture of moss. Local Icelandic delicacies and foraged treasures grace the table. Fjallgarðurinn is an honouring where food is an ode to the land, a symphony of flavours that speak of the untamed wilderness and the rich culinary heritage of Iceland.
Chef and artist Antje Taiga Jandrig is at the heart of the culinary narrative, crafting stories through cooking and baking, weaving memories and shaping new identities. Drawing from her experience working in kitchens across the world, as well as a childhood steeped in wonder, Antje welcomes guests to indulge in an evening of nostalgia and delight.
Designed in collaboration with the creative minds of Þorsteinn Eyfjörð (soundscapes), Kristian Ross (field recording and sound foraging), Owen Hindley (light design) and Josie Anne Gaitens (vocals and assistance), Fjallgarðurinn beckons. An evening infused with warmth, curiosity and joy awaits.
Entrance is 8.500 kr. for the whole culinary experience at the Living Art Museum in Marshallhúsið.
