The Reading Club: Bryndís Snæbjörnsdóttir

The Living Art Museum’s Reading Club is returns after a refreshing summer vacation, with reading material on issues that matter. The aim is still the same, that the reading club serves as a platform where colleagues meet, discuss topics related to the artist profession and get inspiration for what is yet to come.

Bryndís Snæbjörnsdóttir, will lead the first reading evening of this autumn/winter. It will take place Thursday 21 September at 20:30, and the discussion will revolve around an article by Claire Bishop that appeared in the April issue of Artforum and is available by clicking here. The article is called Information Overload: On the superabundance of research-based art. The article sparked considerable discussion on social media when it was published, so it will be interesting to meet and compare different opinions on the subject.

The language of the event takes into account those who attend, and will take place either in Icelandic or English.
