As a novel exhibition format, The Last Museum blurs the line between cinema and sculpture, while exploring the potential of ‘web-site-specificity’. Accessed through www.nylo.is/thelastmuseum its Reykjavik Edition exhibition features a new commission by Egill Saebjörnsson—alongside contributions by artists from seven other countries. The website also materializes here, in the gallery, accompanied by works from Saebjörnsson’s oeuvre. These plot the artist’s longstanding engagement with virtual reality.
